SOARC Antenna Day Postponed
Due to weather we are postponing Antenna Day at Pottsville until next month. Check here for updates.
Setup begins at 10 AM, with operations starting around 11 AM. We’ll be experimenting with:
A 10-meter delta loop and 10-meter dipole, hung from a 70-80 ft messenger line for raising, lowering, and rotating.
Adding a reflector and director to compare performance.
A 10-meter Moxon beam, mounted on the bucket of our 75 ft bucket truck.
Good news for Technicians: You can participate and get on the air on 10 meters! Even if the antenna talk sounds like gibberish, we’ll help it all make sense. Want to just chat or hang out? Come be social—there’s something for everyone.
